Hi everyone,
Our first gathering is on the calendar, and we couldn’t ask for a better speaker to open it.
Robert F. Shepherd, Ph.D.
Professor Shepherd is Director of Graduate Studies for Mechanical Engineering at Cornell and directs the Organic Robotics Lab. If you’ve pulled the tap on our website, you’ve already met some of his lab’s work: robots that move on electrical signals from a king oyster mushroom.
Embodied intelligence.
We usually picture intelligence living in a brain or a computer. His talk explores where robotics, biology, and machine intelligence meet, and what changes when intelligence has a body. Then the floor is yours, so bring your questions.
Come with friends or come solo. The best conversations start with people you haven’t met yet.
See you Wednesday, Julian & Luciano Cornell on Tap
